"Dine About town” in San Francisco

Dine About Town is an annual food event held in San Francisco where food lovers would get to feast on different types of cuisine. Organized by San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau, this has been a popular event from the past few years. It’s also a good platform for passionate foodies to try out many different kinds of cuisine without a hole in their pockets. Some of San Francisco's best restaurants participate in this event and serve up 3-course prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus for a very reasonable price.

‘Dine About Town’ is a city-wide promotional program, where high-end restaurants offer prix-fixe, i.e. three-course meals for either lunch, dinner, or both. Lunch costs around $22, whereas you’d have to pay $10 more, i.e. around $32 for dinner. Even though drinks, tax and tip are not included in this fare, it’s a very reasonable price when compared to the price of the same food on other days. Some people believe that, this is the time of the year when San Francisco's good restaurants offer food at steep discounts to cope with their lagging business due to the slow tourist season.
