Kart Racing

Karting or Go-karting as it is unofficially known, Kart Racing is a form of racing which involves simple, small four-wheeled vehicles. These small vehicles depending on their design are called karts, go-karts, or gearbox/shifter karts. Kart racing is generally considered to be the most economic form of motorsport available. It is also commonly perceived as the stepping stone to the higher and more expensive ranks of motorsports.

But never take these machines lightly, as some karts may reach top speeds of about 160mph, called as Superkarts. Superkart apart, a Formula A kart with 2-stroke engine can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 4.5 seconds and reach top speeds up to 85mph. It is also considered as leisure time sport that can be performed by almost anybody. It is usually used as a low-cost and relatively safe way to introduce drivers to motor racing. I believe, this is one sport which every auto enthusiast must try out once in his lifetime.

Some of the popular karting championships include European KF1 Championship, Karting World Championship and Junior Monaco Kart Cup. Held annually in a different country, Karting World Championship is considered as the flagship event of the Kart Racing world.

But there are many restaurants which serve bland and insalubrious dishes which are passed off as exotic seafood. You must be wary of such restaurants. But how, that’s the question. Well, it’s possible if you do the following.

World Touring Car Championship

World Touring Car Championship, WTCC, as it is shortly called is one among the most important and eventful car races in the world. It is regarded as the third most important FIA championship after Formula One and the World Rally Championship.

The first WTCC was held in the year 1987, and then it was held simultaneously with the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC). Later it gained immense popularity and was a victim of its own success with FIA stopping the championship, fearing that it would take money away from Formula 1. But soon after, in the year 2001, ETCC was resumed which was later renamed as WTCC in 2005 at the request of interested manufacturers.

With the support of major car manufacturers like BMW, Chevrolet, SEAT and Alfa Romeo, the race is held at major prestigious circuits. The race features compact and midsize cars that fall between slightly modified super production cars and the extinct super touring class. Being the next most popular race after F1 and WRC, WTCC attracts car enthusiasts from all over the world.

Trying out New Restaurants with Company

Trying out a new restaurant with company is a tricky task. The name might sound interesting, the place might look great, but the service and food can let you down badly. Or the food and service might also be great but the pocket can take a thorough beating. The worst thing one wants is to cut a sorry figure when taking someone out for dinner, especially if it’s a date.

It is of utmost importance to get a heads up on a restaurant before you go there. A great way to do this is references. A disadvantage here might be that what your friend or relative thinks is a great place might fall short of your expectations. Today, the internet makes restaurant search very simple and dependable too.

Restaurant search engines are a great way to source out good restaurants that go with your personal requirements. They provide local restaurant reviews with emphasis on cuisine, ambience, service and pricing. Some very good search engines have an average of 800 reviews per restaurant, which can give you a clear idea of the place. Any restaurant that has more than 75 to 80 percent positive reviews can’t go drastically wrong.

So the next time you want to take someone special out on a date, do your ground work before choosing a restaurant to save yourself embarrassment and to have a great dining experience.
