BMW Motorrad recorded excellent sales in 2007 with the most popular model being the R1200GS. 2008 saw the introduction of the DOHC Boxer HP2 Sport. The R1200 RT has a reputation of being the company’s most popular touring motorcycle in the U.S.

The K 1200 LT has the distinction of being one of the most luxurious touring motorcycles in the market. BMW bikes range from 450 CC to 1200 CC, which are designed for off-road, sport and touring.

BMW Motorcycles' – A Brief Introduction!

BMW today is widely recognized with the word 'cars', of the finest quality, build and luxury. But, very few people, say hard core bike and auto ethusiasts know that BMW came into existence initially by producing air craft engines! Later it also went a step ahead and introduced it's first motorcycle, R32, in 1923. And the rest is history!

BMW Motorcycles became so popular after their introduction that even some established bike vendors, like Honda, had to rethink their strategy, which led to the uprise of legendary 'Gold Wing'! Well, that's a story to be told apart! BMW literally revolutionised the world of motorcycles in the 70's letting loose their mean machines R90S and R100RS. Later on, many BMW models rolled out from their closet raising the bar and setting new standards, each time a new model was out.

However, the icing on the cake was yet to come! And with the release of R1200GS, BMW achieved record sales and very good business performance in the year 2007. R1200GS went on to become one of the most popular bmw models to have ever been produced! Joining this list later were BMW R 1200 RT and K 1200 LT. Every year BMW displays it's after market accessories and tuner parts at the most raunchy and spicy sema show. Right now, folks at BMW are busy in developing their new BMW S1000RR for the next Superbike World Championship season. March on guys, the whole world is watching!
